About Capital City Flying Club
Welcome to Capital City Flying Club, general aviation’s premier aircraft leasing and time-building registry. Founded and owned by commercial multi-engine pilot Thomas, our club provides seamless access to high-quality, dependable cross-country airplanes without the administrative barriers and high overhead of traditional flight schools. Whether you are a commercial student building critical Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours, a certified pilot maintaining currency, or an instructor looking for a reliable fleet for your clients, we handle the fleet logistics so you can fly on your own schedule.
Complete Instructional Freedom
To keep our rental rates highly competitive, Capital City Flying Club operates strictly on an independent contractor model. We do not employ, manage, or assign flight instructors.
Instead, renters retain complete autonomy to select, vet, and contract individually with any independent Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) of their choice. To ensure safety and insurance compliance, your chosen instructor simply needs to complete a standard club checkout and register with our management before operating the fleet. All scheduling, curricula, and financial arrangements remain directly between you and your instructor.
Our Regulatory & Maintenance Standards
We take pride in delivering a clean, safe, and airworthy fleet maintained strictly in accordance with 14 CFR Part 91 continuous airworthiness standards, including comprehensive annual inspections.
Because Capital City Flying Club functions exclusively as an aircraft rental and dry-leasing entity rather than a full-service flight academy, we do not provide flight instruction or carry passengers for hire. Consequently, our fleet is legally exempt from, and does not undergo, 100-hour inspections under Federal Aviation Regulation § 91.409(b). By passing these massive operational savings directly down to you, we offer a streamlined, cost-effective platform to help you reach your aviation goals.
Legal & Regulatory Disclosure: Capital City Flying Club is an aircraft rental and leasing organization and is not an FAA-certificated flight training academy under 14 CFR Part 141 or Part 61. Full operational control of all flights rests entirely with the designated Pilot in Command (PIC) pursuant to 14 CFR § 1.1. In compliance with 14 CFR § 91.409(b), aircraft are not subject to 100-hour inspections as the entity does not provide instructional services or aircraft for hire; all instructional services are privately engaged, independent contracts between the renter and their selected instructor.

✈️ About Thomas
Aviation is a shared journey, and for Thomas, it’s all about the community it builds. Originally from Hungary, Thomas founded Capital City Flying Club out of a passion for bringing people together and making the skies more accessible. He is an FAA-certificated Commercial Pilot with Multi-Engine ratings, bringing a high level of professional experience and technical knowledge to the club's vision. Thomas is a deeply dedicated, hard-working professional whose primary drive is providing for his family and supporting the goals of his fellow aviators.
When he isn't managing fleet logistics or keeping operations running smoothly, Thomas loves spending quality time with his family, catching up on great movies, and taking to the skies to enjoy the true freedom of flight with friends.

Alex - Instructor
✈️ About Alex
Aviation has been a part of my life from the very beginning. While serving overseas with the U.S. Air Force at Aviano Air Base in Italy, I worked alongside the legendary Triple Nickel Fighter Squadron. That experience sparked my lifelong passion for flight, discipline, and mentorship.
After my time in the military, I turned that passion into purpose in the civilian aviation world. I am an FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII) and FAA Ground Instructor (AGI, IGI). My focus is helping aspiring and active pilots build real-world knowledge, confidence, and professionalism through focused flight training, ground instruction, and mentorship.
As an approved independent instructor for Capital City Flying Club, my goal is to develop disciplined, safety-minded aviators who think beyond the checkride—pilots prepared to lead, teach, and fly with integrity.
